Sending A Booking - Step By Step


  1. Export Spot List From BCC Media Desktop into The Clipboard or into a file.  Open the BCC Media Desktop schedule containing the campaign to be booked and choose the "Export To MediaWise" menu item.  In the Dialog which appears, ensure the "To Clipboard" option is selected and that the "Include Only Bought Spots" box is ticked and that all necessary markets have been moved from the right list to the left.  Then press Ok and wait till BMD says the operation is complete.  At this point you have exported your spot list to the clipboard or to a file.

  2. Start Tango Toolbar.  Look for the Tango shortcut on your desktop or Citrix platform.  Look at the graphic in the top left of this page - the yellow swirly thing - the Tango shortcut icon looks similar.  When you find it, double click the shortcut to start Tango. You should see a four button toolbar.

  3. Open the Booking Window by clicking on the second button in the toolbar - the one with the tooltip "Send Bookings". A Window titled "Booking Import & Review" will appear.
  4. Click the "From BMD" button.  This will read the spots list from either -
    • the clipboard (placed there is step 1). If you get an error, repeat step 1 to ensure the clipboard contains the right data and then press Tango's "From BMD" button again., or, if you exported to file
    • a file.
    Tango will show the spots imported.
  5. Choose the Network.  In the Tango window, next to the buttons, there is a drop down field which contains the names of the Networks involved in the campaign.  This field might be blank to start with. Click in this drop down field and select the name of the network with which you want to book spots.
  6. Click "Export To Network" button.  This creates a Tango booking file for the network you specified in step 5.
  7. Send Tango file to Network.  Attach the file you just created (step 6) to an e-mail to your Network Sales Rep.  For their reference, also attach the normal booking printout generated by BCC.


Repeat steps 5 to 7, for each Network Sales office.
